Type two Diabetes – Blood Sugar, Inflammation as well as Blood Vessel Disease

Preventing heart as well as blood vessel disease is a significant concern in anyone diagnosed with Type two diabetes. Diabetes is an ailment of inflammation and is associated with clogged and inflamed blood vessels, a condition called atherosclerosis. Based on recent scientific studies, IL-6 is related with atherosclerosis and with poorly controlled diabetes. A study published in the Polish Journal of Cardiology in 2011, examined the partnership between narrowed arteries along with inflammatory molecules, including IL-6. Two 100 and seventy-nine participants with narrowed arteries have been inside the study. In two years, excessive levels of IL 6 were connected with the worsening of atherosclerosis.
Scientists in the Hospital of the Virgin of Victoria in Malaga, Spain, looked at inflammation in white blood cells of volunteers with atherosclerosis and compared the amounts of inflammatory molecules with blood glucose ranges. Their results have been published in the medical journal Acta Diabetolgia in December 2011.
The twenty two diabetics with atherosclerosis were compared with eight non-diabetic controls.

Out of this the researchers concluded controlling blood sugar levels could protect against too much IL-6 from being produced.
