Candidate support WooCommerce officially so it is best to make sure your server also supports this plugin requirements if you are going to set up a shop.To learn about the plugin server requirements, read the official article.
WordPress is well-known for its ease of installation. Under most circumstances, installing WordPress is a very simple process and takes less that five minutes to complete.
Before beginning the installation and configuring of your new theme, you must first have WordPress already installed on a server.

In order to install Candidate, once you download the theme, unzip the main archive. You will see the wp-candidate.zip file
Candiate Can Be Installed in 2 Different Ways:Installing a theme through WordPress is quite a simple process. After you have logged into your WordPress Simply navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme . Click the button “choose file” and locate your Theme zip file (wp-candidate.zip), then click the “install now” button. After Candidate is installed, find the Theme in Appearance > Themes and click Activate.
Please be informed that you should not upload the whole archive you downloaded from Themeforest, as you will get an error reporting “broken stylesheet file”. Instead locate the wp-candidate.zip file inside the main archive you downloaded.
2. Installation Through FTP:Please be informed that you should not upload the whole item you have downloaded from Themeforest as you will get an error message. Instead:
Once you have installed and activated our theme you will be prompted to install required and recommended plugins. Just click the link to Begin installing plugins.
Next, check boxes to select all the plugins you want to install, select the bulk action of install from the dropdown box and then click the button to apply.
Next, just click the link to Return to Required Plugins Installer.
Select the plugins you had installed, and then apply the bulk action to activate them.
Finally, you will got a confirmation notice that your plugins were activeded.
To help you set up website with the least efforts, we include in the theme package dummy content file. After installing it, all content seen on the live demo will be imported except for images/videos.
There are two methods you can use, one is using our One-click Importer, the other is Importing manually. To go with the former option, please follow the steps below:

Theme Options is the main section of Candidate, which you can do your global settings for your website. You can access Theme Options from top left side of your dashboard. We are going to describe about General Settings options available under General > General Settings section of Theme Options in this article.
Use this option to set the responsive design features.
This option allow to change theme setting like color and typography and then (typically) either inject CSS directly into the header to override the defaults OR switch between a number of pre-set stylesheets. Instead use theme options to set base colors, typography rules, etc. and then use these to set LESS/SASS variables and run the compiler to spit out a completely new style.css file that would be rebuilt using those variables in the place of the default values.
Enable this option to have a smooth scroll effect on your website. Smooth scroll adds an easing effect while you scroll the page.
Use this option to set the width of entire page on your website. You can override this option using Layout option inside Candidate Page Options inside each page.

Use this option to set the background of entire page on your website. (It includes Background Image, background Size, Background Repeat,Background Position,Background Pattern).

The logo options in the Candidate theme have been built upon to give you a much more flexible solution for personalising the template with your own logo.
1.1 Logo imageLogo Image: This option sets the actual file you want to assign for your logo. The template automatically loads the image files available for use according to the path that you have set in the previous folder.
1.2. Logo Max HeightThis option sets the max-height that you want to allow for the logo position. Please note that the max-height you set here must be compatible with the widths that you set in the other module positions in the row that you published the logo position to in the first option eg header, nav or left module positions.
1.3 Logo MarginThis option sets the margin that you want to allow for the logo position.
1.4 Logo PaddingThis option sets the padding that you want to allow for the logo position.
Use this option to set the favicon icons for your site.
Theme Options is the main section of Candidate, which you can do your global settings for your website. You can access Theme Options from top left side of your dashboard. We are going to describe about Header options available in Header section of Theme Options in this article.
Use this option to set the opacity of your header navigation. It regards to Header Background Color section in Styling Options.
For example if you set this option to 60%, then Header Background Color is rgba(255,255,255):
1.2 Header Top WidgetsEnable this option to show header top widgets on header section.

1.3 Header FixedIf Header Fixed is enabled - the content area becomes behind the header area.
If Header Fixed is disenabled - the content area becomes under the header area.
1.4 Header Margin and Header PaddingThis options sets the margin and padding that you want to allow for the header position.
If Sticky Header is enabled- This option will keep your header navigation bar fixed at the top during scroll.
Menu Item Padding Allows you to define the amount of space between your navigation items. The default for this if left blank is 35.
For example Header Menu Item Padding is 10px 10px:
Menu Font Size First Level - Use this option to set the font-size of menu items.
For example Menu Font Size First Level is 14px:
Menu Font Size First Sublevel - Use this option to set the font-size of sub-menu items.

Background - Use this option to set the background image of Page Title. It includes Background Image, Background Size, Background Position, Background Repeat
Padding and Header Margin This options sets the margin and padding that you want to allow for the Page title area.
Show Page Title Enable this option to show the title of Page Titles.
Show Page Breadcrumb Enable this option to show the breadcrumbs navigation in all Page Titles. You can disable breadcrumbs from here globally or using options given inside each page..
Delimiter Defines the charater between breadcrumb.

Footer Top Widgets Enable this option to show Footer Top Widgets in the website globally.
Number of Footer Top Columns Use this option to set the column layout of the footer top section. Available options are:

Class Footer Widget 1 Use this option to set the width of content in the Footer Top Widget column 1. This value is class of Grid Bootstrap standand.

Show Title Post Use this option to Show/Hide title of post.

Show Comments Post Use this option to Enable/Disable the comments section for the single blog posts. This option is for the single blog posts only.
Show Tags Use this option to Show/Hide Meta Tags that you added in the single blog post edit screen in WordPress admin.
Previous/Next Pagination Use this option to Enable/Disable navigation arrows in the single blog post page. The navigation arrows gives the visitor an option to go to the next or previous blog post directly from the single blog post page.
This section of Theme Options gives you a quick way to paste your custom css code and see the result in the front end of the website. This option is a temporary solution for adding custom css, but if you are interested in a more permanent method, you’d better add the code on the style.css file of Candidate Child Theme.

In some cases suppose if you don't import Demo Data of Candidate theme for your site or you can't import Demo Data by One-click Importer, so all widgets is not available for your site. You can import widgets for sidebar manually.
The import will not overwrite any data currently within the sidebars, but instead will increment the widgets and add a new instance of the widget instead. You can following these steps to Import Widget for Sidebar:
There are 2 methods to update our WordPress themes to a newer version. These new updates are essential if you want to have a bug free website, as we add new features and make improvements to the theme over time.
